Aged Care Solutions Group – Terms of Use

Last updated: 23 September 2026

These Terms of Use apply to your access to and use of the Aged Care Solutions Group online learning site, including the From Home to Aged Care course and any associated lessons, calculators, spreadsheets, guides, templates, checklists, downloads and other resources.

By purchasing, enrolling in, accessing or using the course or its resources, you agree to these Terms of Use.

1. About Aged Care Solutions Group

Aged Care Solutions Group provides education, information, practical tools and guidance to help older Australians, their families and carers better understand and navigate the transition into residential aged care.

For the purposes of these Terms, references to “ACS”, “Aged Care Solutions Group”, “we”, “us” or “our” refer to the operator of Aged Care Solutions Group and the From Home to Aged Care course.

2. Educational and General Information Only

The information provided through this course and associated resources is intended for general educational and informational purposes only.

The course is designed to help users understand the Australian aged care system and prepare for decisions that may arise when considering or entering residential aged care.

The course does not provide personalised:

Your individual circumstances may differ from the examples and scenarios presented in the course.

Where appropriate, you should obtain advice from suitably qualified professionals and confirm information relevant to your circumstances with organisations such as My Aged Care, Services Australia, the Department of Veterans' Affairs, your chosen aged care provider or other relevant government agencies.

3. Aged Care Rules, Fees and Information Can Change

Australian aged care legislation, government policy, fees, thresholds, contribution arrangements, pension rates, accommodation rules and other requirements can change over time.

ACS takes reasonable care in preparing and updating its educational materials. However, information that was accurate when a lesson or resource was prepared may subsequently change.

Government-set aged-care fees and contributions can also be indexed or altered over time. (My Aged Care)

You should therefore confirm important figures, eligibility requirements and rules against current official government information before making significant financial, property or aged care decisions.

4. Calculators, Spreadsheets and Planning Tools

The course may include calculators, spreadsheets, scenario modelling tools, facility comparison tools, property decision tools and other planning resources.

These tools are provided to assist with education, planning and comparison. Results generated by these tools are estimates or illustrations based on the information entered, assumptions within the tool and applicable rates or thresholds.

Calculator results should not be treated as an official aged care fee assessment, quotation, financial recommendation or guarantee of the amount you will pay.

Actual aged care fees and accommodation costs can depend on matters including your income and assets, your applicable fee arrangements, your aged care means assessment, the aged care home selected, your agreed room price and other arrangements with the provider. My Aged Care advises that actual costs require an aged care means assessment and fee advice, together with provider-agreed costs where applicable. (My Aged Care)

Users are responsible for checking that information entered into any ACS calculator or planning tool is accurate and current.

5. Property and Accommodation Decisions

The course discusses matters such as refundable accommodation deposits (RADs), daily accommodation payments (DAPs), retaining, renting or selling a former home, and other accommodation funding considerations.

These materials are provided to explain concepts and help users identify matters they may wish to consider. They do not constitute a recommendation to sell, retain, rent, transfer or otherwise deal with a particular property or financial asset.

Accommodation payment choices can have financial implications, and government guidance recommends considering independent financial advice when deciding how to pay aged care accommodation costs. (My Aged Care)

6. Course Access

Unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase, enrolment provides access to the course for the period specified in the applicable course offer.

Course access is provided to the individual enrolled participant.

Nothing in this section excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or other applicable legislation.

15. Course Updates

ACS may update, replace, correct or revise course lessons, calculators, downloads and other resources to improve the course or reflect changes to the Australian aged care system.

Course content may therefore change after a participant first enrols.

18. Changes to These Terms

ACS may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes to the course, our business practices or applicable laws.

The current version will be published on the course site with the date of the latest update.

Changes will not limit rights that have already arisen under applicable consumer law.

19. Governing Law

Nothing in this clause limits any rights a consumer may have under applicable Australian law.
